Overview

Itochu Building Products (IBP) Holdings has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant to work at the Dallas, TX headquarters.

Comprised of three subsidiary companies (Master Halco, Alta Forest Products, and US Premier Tube Mills), Itochu Building Products is the largest leading manufacturer and wholesale distributor of fencing products in North America.

 

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will be an integral part of our treasury department within the Finance shared services team.  The role applies generally accepted accounting principles, maintains accurate treasury and financial records, performs daily banking duties, performs complex reconciliations, contributes to financial reporting, and assists with audits and system improvements.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Perform daily banking duties, including monitoring of daily bank balances and execution of transactions (wires, ACH, etc)
  • Prepares, reviews, and processes journal entries, vouchers, and other financial transactions, specifically related to treasury
  • Maintains general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of accounts
  • Posts and balances financial and accounting documents and records
  • Performs complex account reconciliations
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in accounts
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules and reports
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information for internal management and external compliance
  • Provides supporting documentation and information for taxes and audits
  • Participates in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and testing of financial systems
  • Ensures compliance with JSOX defined processes, procedures and controls
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • 5+ years of general accounting and 1-2 years of experience in treasury

Required Skills / Abilities

  • Hands-on experience with Infor M3 preferred
  • Advanced user of MS Excel

Work Environment: Office Environment

Physical Demands

This job requires the ability to sit, stand, lift and/or move.

Expected Hours of Work

Monday through Friday 8 hours a day; at times more than 8 hours.
