Overview

ITOCHU Building Products (IBP) Holdings has an immediate need for a Sr. Payroll & HRIS Manager. Comprised of Master Halco, Alta Forest Products, and US Premier Tube Mills, ITOCHU Building Products is the largest and leading manufacturer and wholesale distributor of fencing products in North America.

 

Based in Dallas, TX and reporting directly to the VP of HR, we are seeking an experienced Sr. Payroll & HRIS Manager who will handle all aspects of the payroll function (both US and Canada) while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, full compliance, and strong internal controls. This role will have both strategic and hands on accountability in both payroll and HRIS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day management of payroll function for the entire organization, ensuring the company follows payroll laws and regulations as they vary from state to state and in Canada
  • Ensure that all payroll procedures, interfaces, and audits are documented as needed
  • Monitor ADPs payment of payroll taxes on behalf of the company
  • Research and respond to payroll tax notices
  • Manage the preparation of annual W-2 and related tax filings, as well as any other regulatory requirements (health insurance reporting, etc.)
  • Monitor all system requirements related to the payroll, and timekeeping applications by working in conjunction with internal IT and outside consultants  
  • Responsible for managing tasks associated with the company’s 401(k) plan
  • Ensure accuracy of all system-generated calculation of payments for overtime, bonus, commission, PTO and termination pay.
  • Manage garnishment process for all locations
  • Ensure payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and federal, state and IRS regulations
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Manage payroll team

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in payroll (US & Canada)
  • 4+ years' payroll management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Experience with multi state and multi entity payroll processing
  • Experience processing payroll for 1000+ employees
  • Experience with Canada payroll processing (preferred)
  • Certified payroll professional (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now 
  • Experience implementing and maintaining HRIS software
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions 
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule (Onsite: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday; Remote: Wednesday, Friday)
